Amazon Mobile Affiliates allows marketers to monetize mobile apps they distribute via the iOS App Store, Google Play market or Amazon Marketplace, by offering physical or digital products. The major advantage of the platform is the Amazon’s brand that stands behind it and boosts its trustworthiness for mobile users. The affiliate program features both 10% commissions for initial purchases made through affiliates, as well as commissions for any subsequent purchases placed by the same mobile users.

Another one of the highest paying and most popular dating affiliate programs is eHarmony, which is based on the actual earnings that can be made from each referred sale. Up to $188 can be made from a single sale. In general, the members at eHarmony are typically looking to find serious long term relationships, so many of them are willing to pay extra to find similar people.
That being said, LinkConnector’s platform looks and feels outdated and is rather clumsily designed. Their dashboard also makes it difficult to find “hot” products or compare conversion rates, leaving affiliates somewhat in the dark about which products to choose. Ironically, despite their low-quality website, they offer some of the best customer service in the affiliate space.
Recent corporate changes and folding 2Checkout into a larger company that is involved in payment processing and e-commerce means that the affiliate program can sometimes feel somewhat neglected. But the ability to generate custom coupon codes and the comprehensive knowledge base make 2Checkout a good option for experienced affiliates with an established user base. But if you’re just entering the affiliate field for the first time, 2Checkout might not be where you want to start.
CPA (Cost Per Action or Cost Per Acquisition) or PPP (Pay Per Performance) advertising means the advertiser pays for the number of users who perform a desired activity, such as completing a purchase or filling out a registration form. Performance-based compensation can also incorporate revenue sharing, where publishers earn a percentage of the advertiser's profits made as a result of the ad. Performance-based compensation shifts the risk of failed advertising onto publishers.[62]:4, 16

6.2. Affiliates are paid approximately every 30 days, approximately 15 days after the prior period, provided that Company may, in its discretion, withhold payments until such time as referred customers have completed payment for our service. Payments shall be made by Company check or digital payment (such as PayPal). All payments are made in U.S. Dollars only. Additional payment options (including, but not limited to, electronic payments whether directly or via a 3rd-party provider) may be added at any time. Should this occur, a notice will be sent via email with details and instructions for enrollment. Digital Payments (such as PayPal) sent to a valid email address cannot be reversed or retrans`mitted for any reason. Additionally, digital payments may be subject to total dollar amount limits as imposed by the payment provider, and if that limit should be exceeded the Affiliate will receive as many separate payments as necessary to reach the full amount earned in the given payment period.

Hi, Jamie! Very good list. I needed something like this for 2018 so that I know what to target in the future blogs I create. As for now, I’m comfortable using SiteGround affiliate network and it’s pretty good actually. Their hosting service is pretty much the best considered its price. I’ve tried others but SiteGround stands out. I’ll also try new affiliate networks, something from the list you have just provided. I think Amazon is too saturated at the moment, and I need a better network. 2018 will be interesting indeed.
It is important to note, however, that StudioPress is now a subsidiary of WPEngine which is the company that actually does the web hosting on which StudioPress’s Genesis framework runs. The affiliate program only works with choosing the StudioPress framework and themes, not the actual hosting on WPEngine. WPEngine has a separate affiliate program for its hosting services, which yes, is a bit confusing.

Really interesting post from Carter. I’ve been cautious about moving into Apps, primarily because I don’t know how to make them myself and I didn’t want to get taken in by all the hype. But, Carter’s mentioned two things that I hadn’t read before. One, that an app that is essentially a store with affiliate links – sounds great. Two, apps are great ways to build lists and drive traffic. Excellent info. I’m off to download Carter’s free e-book. Seeya!

Tradedoubler was founded in 1999 by two young Swedish entrepreneurs. They have offices in the UK and multiple countries throughout Europe, including Sweden, Germany, France, Poland and Spain. Their focus has always been to provide smarter results for both clients and affiliates through technology. In 18 years, they’ve amassed an army of 180,000 active publishers, connecting them to over 2,000 merchants in Europe and the UK. Many of these merchants are household names.
One way to promote your app is through affiliate marketing. This is when a company partners with a social influencer or other professional entity that has a wide base of influence and the potential to drive traffic to apps and websites based on their following and reach. Many mobile-first companies use affiliates to help push certain actions regarding their app, such as downloads or in-app purchases.
There are several ways to search for offers, and mobile offers in particular. The first one is obvious – sign up for multiple affiliate networks and see what offers they have. Next up is searching on Twitter for top offers, top mobile offers to spot offers that affiliate networks may push on a specific day or week, LinkedIn Groups is another place for conducting a similar research.
LinkConnector imposes a very rigorous and lengthy screening process, so you’ll need to prove that you have a high-quality website and established audience before being accepted. Despite its somewhat schizophrenic approach, LinkConnector does have some very happy long-term affiliates. And their “naked links” allow for direct connection to the merchant website without having to be rerouted via LinkConnector, which will give your website an SEO boost.
This means that it’s easy for you to get started. This is a good thing, but it also means that your competition is high. It’s not like AdWords where the platform is a monster, or Facebook where you get banned for the smallest infraction. If you’ve run mobile campaigns before, native is going to be super similar. The blueprint is the same – placements, black/white lists, minimal targeting.
